Job: ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, COMPUTER SCIENCE

This position is a yearly two semester (163 day) contract beginning August 2010.

Broward College invites applicants for a full time tenure track teaching position in Computer Science

Candidates should be passionate educators who can facilitate the needs of diverse 21st century learners.

Minimum Education: Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or closely related discipline required. This is a full-time tenure track position in Computer Science/ Information Technology.

Minimum Experience/Training: Industry experience & certification in computer programming (C++, C#, Java) and database technology (Oracle, MySQL, SQLServer) preferred. Annual (Fall & Spring semesters) course load of 30 credits, plus office hours, will include three or more, evening/weekend classes each term.

The successful candidate will be expected to maintain active professional development activities and service to the Department and College.

All schedules require office hours and some may require evening and/or weekend hours.
