Blog Post: In Search of the "Creative Superstar"
posted Wednesday, May 27, 2009 9:01 AM
While monitoring and reviewing the various open opportunities my client was in need of, I found one in particular that had a become a bit of a challenge, the "Store Visual Display Manager". This position speaks to those individuals that possess "creative superstar" qualities. It is evident that the one challenge that is most difficult, is finding that candidate that has great passion, lots of creativity, and one who is not afraid to explore.
Whenever I've visited City Furniture, I find myself thinking, what a "playground" this would be for creating that perfect "getaway at home" for someone else. So I speak to all those individuals out there that seek a position that allows us to "express ourselves" in more ways than one. This is a position that allows the opportunity to showcase your visually-creative talent and at the same time mentor and coach others. The person that fits in this positions is one who is visually challenged and loves the idea of being able to design and creative that "perfect room" for others. I have seen visually creative people find this kind of position because of the way we help our local employers tell their story.

Thanks for adding to the Jobing Community. I hear similar concerns so often in today's market. The reality is that the market is full of very qualified job seekers like yourself who are out of work. Competition is fierce and in a market such as this, qualifications are only the beginning. Networking is so key and using your networks even more so....not just making them but seeing how to truly use them will help set you apart. Best of luck!
