The Clinical Engineer will provide Technical leadership to the clinical engineering staff and the biomedical staff throughout the Memorial Healthcare System. The Clinical Engineer will supervise the clinical engineering staff and the biomedical staff in the Director's absence. The Clinical Engineer will develop and maintain biomedical equipment lifecycle plans, develop business continuity plans and create technical strategic plans for biomedical devices. The Clinical Engineer will be the primary technical contact for all biomedical device technical discussions, planning or consultations throughout the Memorial Healthcare System.

The Clinical Engineer will participate in all Biomedical Device Integration projects by providing technical leadership. The Clinical Engineer will evaluate customer needs and ensure device capabilities meet customer expectations. The Clinical Engineer will develop security plans and establish equipment use protocols to maximum biomedical device uptime and security. The Clinical Engineer will develop a preventive maintenance program for biomedical devices which ensures all compliance and regulatory issues are met. The Clinical Engineer will develop and maintain a security program to meet best practices and current MHS standards to ensure all medical devices are not vulnerable to malicious software or outdated code which may impact the safety of the biomedical device.

Skills / Requirements

10 years experience managing and supporting Biomedical Devices
Baccalaureate degree in Biomedical or Clinical Engineering
Certified by the International Certification Commission for Clinical Engineers (ICC)
