POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Under general direction, this position is responsible for assisting in analysis and review of legal matters relative to contracts and compliance issues, and other legal matters as assigned. Serves in a support role in areas of actual and potential legal, liability and compliance concerns, including but not limited to advising administrators, faculty, staff and others on federal and state laws and regulations, and College policies and procedures.

This is a part-time position available for eight (8) weeks working 40 hours per week; no benefits available.

Anticipated Hire Date: February 27, 2012.

Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited law school.

Minimum Experience/Training: Member in good standing of the Florida Bar Association.
One to three years of legal experience that has included professional legal research and analyzing and evaluating legal documents, rules, regulations, and legislation.
Experience in contracts and compliance matters, specifically in public or higher education sectors, is preferred.
