Profile: Black Business - Jacksonville

The First Coast Black Business Investment Corporation (FCBBIC) was created out of the “Florida Small and Minority Business Act of 1985" in recognition of the fact that locally owned small and minority businesses provide a substantial foundation for community stability and contribute to the overall welfare of the Florida economy. The FCBBIC is one of eight investment corporations in the State of Florida with the direct responsibility of underwriting loans and investments to black owned businesses. The investment corporations are strategically located in six major Florida areas: Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Pensacola, Palm Beach, Broward Counties, and Tallahassee.
