Deputy General Counsel, In house Legal/Risk Management.

The Assistant General Counsel reports to the Senior Vice President and General Counsel. To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the following qualifications:

'Extensive knowledge of health care law, specifically compliance and regulatory issues;
'Experience in reviewing and drafting various legal documents, including contracts;
'Ability to perform legal research, analyze issues, draft memoranda and provide guidance;
'Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization;
'Demonstrated skills in client service, oral and written communication and time management.

Skills / Requirements


A minimum of 12 years of experience in healthcare law is required. Particular subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
1) health care compliance, including state and federal regulatory matters and research compliance; 2) real estate and construction contracting; 3) real estate transactions/leasing; 4) information technology; 5) managed care; and 6) public hospitals or other public entities in Florida.

Certifications or Licenses: Graduation from an ABA accredited law school required. Candidate must be a member of the Florida State Bar. Board Certification in Health Care is preferred.
