Jobing Description

Carlton Manor Inc., a community based leader and non-profit provider of therapeutic services to children and families is in search of a qualified Foster Home Specialist.

The position coordinates and provides a high level of support to our foster families and the special needs children they serve. Responsibilities include:

  • The provision of MAPP and specialized foster parent training
  • The initial and ongoing licensing of our foster homes
  • A variety of supportive services designed and initiated to help our families meet the special needs of the children and youth in their care.

    The position provides for excellent career and growth opportunities within our expanding Supported Foster Care program.

    Skills / Requirements

    The position requires:

  • A minimum of two years experience working with dependent children and youth
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • A positive outlook and strong commitment to helping children and families and flexible scheduling.

    Child Welfare and MAPP certification are a plus.

    A degree in Social Services, Counseling, Psychology or other human service field is required. Masters degree in related field preferrred
