Location: FL - Pembroke Pines Job Type: Health Care Professional Services Government Base Pay: N/A Required Education: 4 Year Degree Bonus: Required Experience: Not Specified Other: Health Insurance, 401(k) and Paid Vacation Required Travel: None Employee Type: Full-Time Relocation Covered: Not Specified Job ID: 152-SFSH The Psychologist provides individual and group psychotherapy, staff education on psychological issues as needed, conducts psychological evaluations and psychological testing, The Psychologist is responsible for developing; monitoring and implementing behavioral management plans as well as assigned responsibilities for quality assurance monitoring & supervises psychology interns and students in individual and group supervision. The Psychologist is an active member of the treatment team.
*Provides individual and group psychotherapy, family therapy, design and implementation of individualized behavior plans, psycho-education. Review by Director of Psychology, case conference participation and presentations, review by psychiatrists. *Provides psychological assessments (including neuropsychological assessments), as well as psychological evaluations, and quality assurance reviews as required. Serves as a consultant to the multidisciplinary teams. Review of assessments, case presentations, and quantitative chart reviews. *Completes and submits P.I. Reports in time frames designated. Follows up on all P.I. Recommendations pertaining to responsible area. Assures P.I. Committee participation as designated to self and those supervised. *Supervises and trains the psychology students, provides training and education to the rest of the clinical team as needed, provides expert testimony to the court, serves on committees as indicated by Director of Psychology. Train the interns in the DBT model. Provides individual and group supervision to psychology interns. Demonstrates knowledge of FS 490, ethical and related clinical principles. Review by the Director of Psychology and psychiatrists, teaching evaluations, committee participation. *Participates on the Specialized Behavioral Committee and its efforts, and initiatives in the hospital. Helps to train the Nursing and Program staff on behavioral principles and on the specfic behavior plans, supervise the interns on the development of all new behavior management plans and oversees the collection of data on the target behaviors for the Behavior Plans. *Performs timely, complete and legible documentation of services provided, consistent with professional standards and hospital procedures. *Demonstrates understanding of, and complies with special precautions, disaster and fire safety procedures, assists with finding alternatives to seclusion and restraint, knowledge of abuse reporting. Completion of mandatory training, review by Director of Psychology. *Is sensitive to cultural diversity issues, treats person served as an individual, and considers the culture of the person served when providing care and treatment. Demonstrates cultural competency in all aspects of duties performed. This should be particularly evident in interactions with and treatment of person served. Attends and successfully completes competency training on an annual basis. *Is knowledgeable about care and treament needs of persons served of different ages. Provides individualized care and treatment that is consistent with/sensitive to the age and life span development needs of each person served. Demonstrates age specific competency in all aspects of duties performed. This should be particularly evident in interactions with and treatment of persons served. Attends and successfully completes competency training on an annual basis. *Performs other duties as assigned. Skills / Requirements
*A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology from an accredited university and current license as a Psychologist in the State of Florida is required.
