Under direct supervision of a Master's level Clinical Therapist, Team Leader or other licensed clinician, the Bachelor's level Clinical Assistant will:

*Co-facilitate Phase II through Phase IV sex offender treatment groups with a Master's Level Clinical Therapist. 2 cohorts of 10-12 individuals. Approximately 14 hours per week
*Attend and supervise therapeutic study hours in the resident living units. Approximately 2 hours per week
*Attend and facilitate community meetings on each resident living unit. Approximately 2 hours per week
*Provide weekly case management to 30-32 residents one time per week. Approximately 8 hours per week.
*Provide ancillary psycho-educational groups. Approximately 2 hours per week
*Complete documentation, team supervision meetings, clinical staff meetings, training, bi-annual integrated care meetings for each participating resident, collateral contacts and coordination with inter-disciplinary treatment team members. Approximately 12 hours per week


Skills / Requirements
*Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, criminal justice, or related human services field.
*Must be affiliate or Clinical member of the Association for Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA), or be eligible for membership within one year of hire.
*At least two years prior experience working with sexual offenders and an understanding of the dynamics of sexual deviance strongly preferred.
*Familiarity with relevant research literature, clinical assessments, procedures and methods, particularly those designed for sexual offenders.
*Ability to assess treatment goals and write goal-directed, individualized treatment plans, as well as the ability to monitor and document individual behavior patterns and modify treatment plans to meet changing treatment goals.
*Ability to instruct others in the implementation of therapeutic and behavioral interventions and procedures.
*Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
*Familiarity with the diagnostic nomenclature outlined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual.
*Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport and maintain objectivity with a criminal or forensic population.
*Appreciation of the need for and ability to maintain appropriate personal boundaries in working with sexual offender populations.
*Investment in expanding current skills/knowledge and to the transfer of this knowledge to other staff.
*Ability to form and maintain good working relationships with a diverse staff and a commitment to enhancing cultural competency.
*Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
