Job: Child Protection Specialist II

Receive referrals from Protective Investigators and others and evaluate the risk, need for services and immediacy of needs; prepare appropriate paperwork and facilitate the process of the team’s involvement. Interview children, family members, and significant others as needed to obtain medical and psychosocial information. Complete assessments and subsequent reports in a timely manner that meet professional standards, are of high quality, and are in compliance with DOH contract and program standards, and other duties as assigned.

Bachelor / Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or another behavioral science. Three years of post-bachelor experience working with children and their families, with one year of that experience involving work with abused and neglected children.
