In early 2007, Urban Trust Bank announced an agreement with Wal-Mart to lease space inside select Wal-Mart Supercenters to offer a full suite of banking products and services to customers during convenient hours, as well as provide access to credit and financial education. Urban Trust's founder and Chairman is Robert L. Johnson. Mr. Johnson is also the founder and chairman of The RLJ Companies, owner of the Charlotte Bobcats and was the founder of Black Entertainment Television (BET).
