Jobing Description

The Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas is currently seeking a Program Manager.

This is a full-time non-exempt position. We are located in North St. Petersburg.

The following activities are a function of this position:

Monitor Older Americans Act (OAA) Title IIIB, IIIEG National Family Caregiver Support Program, and Local Service Program (LSP) projects for compliance with State and Federal requirements

Evaluate assigned projects quantitatively and qualitatively utilizing discretion and independent judgment

Prepare written reports on projects monitored within (40) day timeframe

Review and analyze Federally funded projects for budgetary compliance

Prepares and submits Federal and State Reports in a timely manner

Participates in the development of Request for Proposal (RFP) and critique processes

Provide technical assistance to contractors, potential contractors, and the general public

Serve on advisory councils and committees to represent the interest of the elderly population

Skills / Requirements

- Strong administrative skills, including completion of required reports and accurate maintenance of records
- Ability to understand and use statewide data system for monitoring purposes
- Proficiency in Word and Excel software programs (persons interviewed will be required to demonstrate their computer proficiency via testing)
- Excellent telephone and communication (written and verbal) skills required
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients, caregivers, professionals and community partners
- Must have valid FL drivers license and the use of reliable transportation for business travel within the planning and service area

Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in gerontology, social work, planning or a related field from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prefer experience in program administration and/or contract management.
