Jobing Description
Position Duties:
* Comply with all Center policies and procedures including, but not limited to: safety and emergency procedures, requirements of the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD), CARF and other regulatory agenciesEnsure a safe working environment for the individuals and team members in Production.
* Ensure a safe working environment for the individuals and team members in Production.
* Implement and monitor quality assurance measures to ensure delivery of quality products.
* Ensure all shipments are received in good order and appropriate paperwork is completed for shipping/receiving and forwarded to appropriate departments.
* Conduct time studies to ensure the fair and appropriate levels of pay for consumers performing work.
* Serve as a liaison between vendors and the work services area.
* Ensure contracts are completed and delivered in a timely manner and to the specifications of the customer.
* Ensure all appropriate paperwork is completed for each contract.
* Make pick-up and delivery of materials as necessary.
* Oversee the inventory of all goods and materials in the production department.
* Review production orders or schedule to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to implement department operations.
* Implement operational schedules and adjust manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
* Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum uitilization.
* Compile, store, and retrieve production data.
* Maintain general management of the company property.
* Perform general maintenance duties and repairs when needed.
* Respond to Community Services home repairs and general maintenance as requested.
* Identify facility repairs that require work be performed by an outside vendor.
* Maintain an inventory on all tools and equipment assigned to area.
* Inform Team leader if problems involving equipment or supplies.
* Provide support for janitorial services.
Skills / Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. in addition, experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing setting and some property maintenance is preferred.
Valid Florida Drivers License, Defensive Driving Training, DOT Physical and Drug Screening. Customer Service Training, EEOC and Affirmative Action Training and training in safe operation of a forklift.
Important Notes
Applicants must show proof of a high school diploma or equivalent and/or minimum experience. Applicants must have a valid Florida driver's license and have a clean motor vehicle record for the past 7 years. All applicants will be subject to pre-employment drug testing, local law enforcement and level II FDLE/FBI background screening.
