Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery (ADCS) is the largest network of medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology experts in the Unites States.  We have nearly 150 offices across the country, all aimed at providing the highest quality dermatological services. 


The role of the Clinical Team Specialist is to assist our patients via phone and internet, provide local office support and assist with the onboarding of new clinical team members.  Job duties will involve direct and indirect patient care, as well as a variety of support functions of the clinic.  Individuals employed in the position of Clinical Team Specialist will function within the scope of practice as determined by regulations of the state where the individual is employed. 



  1. Reports to the VP of Mohs services out of the home office
  2. Works in a call center environment assisting patient with clinical questions
  3. Schedules appointments for patients including office visits and surgical appointments
  4. Communicates with the office and providers to facilitate quality patient outcomes
  5. Maintains provider protocols for handling patient's concerns and scheduling of appointments
  6. Respond timely to post-op calls; respond to all post-op calls by end of day
  7. Check work email and other systems periodically throughout the day
  8. Maintains tracking logs which will also include results received, communications with patients, and follow-up required
  9. Per provider instructions, submit prescriptions via ePrescribing, phone, or fax
  10. Obtain prior authorizations when required
  11. Be able to help in any clinical office as needed
  12. Provide onboarding support and training for new clinical employees
  13. Disclose information when required, using appropriate guidelines and following HIPAA regulations
  14. Recognize and respond to emergencies under the guidance of the provider
  15. Attend staff meetings and complete mandatory in-service education/training
  16. Perform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by Management 



  • Project a professional manner and image, including proper workplace attire and grooming standards; exhibit professional conduct at all times



  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of Medical Assisting course



  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
  • One year previous experience in a dermatology clinic preferred
  • Previous experience with electronic health records preferred
