Inside Sales Representative – EES - Construction and Industrial

Position Description

In this role you will build strong customer relationships with our Contractor, Integrator, and End-user customers.
Respond to customer order and quotation requests received via outside salespersons, telephone, e-mail, written, and faxed correspondence.
Responsibilities include:

Serving a variety of markets by suggesting and delivering the right product solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Prospects for new sales opportunities. Generate leads via outbound calling and e-mail.
  • Provides superior customer service by delivering products and services to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Provides pricing and delivery information.
  • Procures and maintains inventory. Monitor to ensure proper inventory turns.
  • Performs follow-up to ensure timely shipment of materials and customer satisfaction.
  • Resolves customer service issues. Track open sales orders.
  • Actively engages Anixter colleagues and resources regularly to provide a complete customer solution in order to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Works effectively with others in a team based environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

We are looking for candidates with:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience selling in an inside sales environment and/or demonstrated success working with customers.
  • Experience within the Electrical Distribution sales industry is preferred
  • Self-motivation and drive
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Degree preferred
