Responsibilities:
The Associate Market Strategy and Research Analyst will conduct secondary research activities to collect data and other information related university degree programs, trends in online education, and other related aspects of higher education. The Analyst will work in close collaboration with the head of the Market Strategy and Research Department and Senior Analysts to consolidate, analyze, and draft initial findings from the information collected during the research phase. The Analyst will also support report development, creation of presentations and the production of other project deliverables as requested.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of professional experience conducting secondary market research, collecting and aggregating data, and providing analysis services in support of marketing, sales and strategic planning activities. Candidates must have strong organization, writing and communication skills while being able to work independently against project deadlines.

Responsibilities:
Data Collection
• Basic understanding of sound research principles.
• Prepare, manipulate, and manage extensive databases on a periodic basis.
• Gather data on competitors and analyze their prices, curriculum, methods of marketing and other relevant information.
• Input data into existing templates and verify the accuracy of data.
• Communicate progress, key initiatives and findings to supervisor or lead analyst on program.

Industry Monitoring
• Monitor industry statistics and follow trends in trade literature and associations.
• Provide analysis of competitors’ products & services, market share, and market & sales strategies.
• Participate in industry events and conferences.
• Conduct internet-based, library and database research.

Data Analysis
• Prepare initial reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating findings into clearly written text.
• Provide assistance with the preparation of project-related reports and presentations.
• Contribute findings to the MSR team and watch to ensure timely data is disseminated.

Team Work and Collaboration
• Work with the wider team of analysts within the company to foster a team approach to exploiting market opportunities, problem solving and project delivery.
• Support Market Strategy and Research Analysts, as requested, with a variety of research projects.
• Support goals, processes and initiatives of the Market Strategy and Research Team as they evolve.


Requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree and one to three years relevant professional experience
• 1- 2 years of research and data gathering with experience compiling data into reports and other deliverables.
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities.
• Self-starter and highly motivated. Must be capable of working independently, yet collaboratively, within a fast-paced environment.
• Must be resilient and flexible, with a proven ability to deliver results within dynamic marketplace and evolving organization.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate across divisional and geographic boundaries.
• Ability to manage upwards and to influence colleagues without direct authority.
• Demonstrated ability to work calmly and maintain good judgment in high-stress environments.
• Knowledge of MS Access is preferred, but not required.
