WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Exempt position responsible for providing intensive home based individual and family counseling sessions with parents, caretakers, at-risk children, their families, and extended support networks, as well as, providing linkage to formal (community providers) and informal (family, friends, neighbors, church, school, etc.) resources to clients involved with the Florida Department of Children and Families to ensure child safety needs are met in conjunction with provision of family strengthening interventions. Assists in the completion of a Comprehensive Family Needs Assessment, Family Preservation Plan and After Care Plan and Closure Summary for each family within the required contractual time frames.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must possess a Masters of Social Work Degree, Masters of Mental Health Counseling and Psychology or Related Masters Degree.
    • Must be a  registered intern with the state of Florida,
    • Must have minimum of 4 years Child Welfare experience.
    • Must successfully complete a minimum of 40 hours of intensive in-service training within ninety calendar days of hiring. 
    • Must currently possess or be willing to obtain a Florida Driver's License and Florida auto insurance
