JACOBS Project Manager Careers – Orlando, Florida 
Help deliver safe, reliable and extremely competitive integrated facilities management services that focus on enhancing the life-cycle and performance output of our client's assets. Our Facilities Project Manager position is responsible for the success of a facility management services program at our client site which includes over 1.1 million square feet at Lockheed Martin Rotary Mission Services in Orlando Florida. The Project Manager will perform as an agent for the company and point of contact for the client. Position includes frequent client interaction with intent to sustain and improve customer satisfaction. Each day, you will represent JACOBS and our client as you take responsibility for ensuring that all safe work practices are being followed by the staff and contractors working on the client site and will have considerable responsibility in the operations and infrastructure of the facilities. You should be a self-motivated professional with a minimum 10 years project/program management experience and have a desire to grow personally, as well as professionally, with each Project Manager job. 

Our Project Managers: 
  • Are responsible for safe work practices of both JACOBS staff and subcontractors which includes implementation of JACOBS Beyond Zero program.  
  • Are excellent communicators and effective people leaders! Solid experience managing teams in excess of 20 staff with proven ability to motivate employees.  
  • Have experience managing projects related to facilities infrastructure.  
  • Are project management professionals, capable of succeeding in cost controls, budgeting, scoping, planning, estimating, procurement, scheduling, change management, tracking, contractor dispute resolution, and leadership of other Project Managers.  
  • Provide inspection of facilities and work; planning, programming and scheduling; repair and maintenance; quality control; preventative maintenance.
  • Cost control; records, reports, contract compliance; procurement; subcontracting.  
  • Are responsible for coordination of work priorities and monitoring of methods and procedures to improve cost-effectiveness and efficiency.  
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for all formal interface discussions of property management through maintenance service with client.  
  • Have full authority to negotiate change orders, new work and subcontracts with client and subcontractors as required.  
  • Direct recurring repairs, service and maintenance work, resolve technical problems.  
  • Monitor cost control, financial reports, budgeting and overall operating costs.  
  • Hire administrative and maintenance personnel.  
  • Monitor and inspect maintenance, repair and service operations for quality control and contract compliance.  
  • Ensure management and contract reports are accurate before submission to corporate management and client.  
  • Develop contingency, emergency operation, safety, fire prevention and property maintenance management plans in concert with owner's plan.  
  • Have strong technical knowledge of all facilities maintenance and operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety systems and predictive/precision maintenance practices such as, but not limited to: infrared, ultrasound, vibration and oil analysis. 
  • Have a strong understanding of the principles of Asset Management and apply them to every aspect of the contract to achieve a reliable and efficient maintenance program for the client.

Qualifications


10 years facilities management experience, including operations and maintenance of facilities and project management.  
Experience in commercial facilities or other institutional facilities required. (other industrial and heavy commercial experience will be considered)  
5 years supervisory experience.  
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; 
Valid Driver's License.  

The ideal candidate will also possess one of more of the following certifications:
  • CFM  
  • PMP
  • STS 
  • CMRP 
  • CRL
