VPK Teacher (North Lauderdale, FL) - F/T. Ensure the classroom is safe, welcoming, & conducive to learning. Dvlp & maintain daily scheds & routines that support learning & help children feel secure. Implmt positive behavior strategies to guide children's behavior & maintain a harmonious classroom. Dvlp & implmt age-appropriate lesson plans that align w/state stds & the VPK curriculum. Teach foundational literacy & numeracy skills through fun & engaging activities. Encourage social skills, self-regulation, & emotional understanding through group activities & play. Tailor lessons & activities to meet the diverse needs & learning styles of each child. Utilize play-based & hands-on learning experiences to engage children & promote exploration. Participate in ongoing prof'l development to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education. Ensure compliance w/state regs, incl health, safety, & educational stds. Organize & maintain classroom materials, supplies, & eqpmt. Bachelor's deg in education, psychology, sociology, communications, or closely rltd plus 12 mths of exp as a VPK Teacher, VPK Teacher Asst, Preschool Teacher or closely rltd. At the time of hire, must have completed the Reqd FL Dept of Children & Families Child Care Training.
