Responsibilities

The Product Manager participates in multiple activities including planning, costing, engineering, prototyping, testing, and commercialization on behalf of the marketing team. They will review prototypes and tooling models to verify and implement the functionality of product designs.   They may transfer approved specifications to in house or contract manufacturers or other final producers.   May evaluate materials, forms, and ingredients used to develop an interim or finished product and utilize costing models and other techniques to evaluated scaled production costs. After products are launched, may coordinate and manage product enhancements and migrations to new production processes.  The Product Manager will work closely with third parties, vendors, licensors and internal teams to deploy and support new and existing product launches.

 

Other responsibilities include:

  • Evaluation of production risks, product integrity issues, and regulatory risks
  • Implement a marketing and sales strategy for one or more of the organizations products/services to meet established sales or market share targets
  • Conducts market research
  • Oversees product development and design
  • Launches new products, oversees advertising campaigns, monitors sales performance
  • Monitors, analyzes and evaluates market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify market opportunities for the product/service.
  • Monitors product performance and customer feedback to generate new product ideas, identifies product/service features that need to be changed to meet customer needs
  • Liaise with other areas of the organization to implement changes
  • Prepares sales forecasts and budgets while monitoring sales volume, revenues, and costs against forecasts
  • Adapts plans to improve performance of product and works alongside advertising and promotion specialists to design effective campaigns and sales collateral for target audience
     
     
     
     
    Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Product Marketing Management
  • Strong project management experience
  • Excellent written communication and strong verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of computers and networking systems in a professional environment; Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated and self directed, flexible, and able to work in a team environment without supervision
  • Must have strong command of the English language, in both oral and written form
