At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS), we understand that sometimes we must pause our professional life to support our family and loved ones. After stepping away from the workplace to care for children, aging parents or other family obligations, the road to return to work can be challenging, and at times intimidating. This is where Chapter Next can be part of your solution.

Chapter Next is a 12-16 week paid returnship hosted by RMS. Candidates who have taken an employment hiatus for at least 2+ years will be eligible to apply to this program.

During this returnship participants will become part of a community of similarly experienced professionals with challenging work scopes that contribute to the great innovation produced by Lockheed Martin. Selected candidates will be exposed to comprehensive training, professional development opportunities, networking opportunities, and individual based mentoring

Our goal is to provide the fundamental tools needed to be successful in your career field, and to potentially prepare you for an opportunity to join Lockheed Martin full-time. Fields of focus will be diverse across the program and include functional and technical opportunities.

This returnship position is Intern Program Specialist and will be located in one of the following locations:
• Orlando, FL
• Moorestown, NJ
• Washington, DC
• Bethesda, MD
• Middle River, MD

As an HR Consultant is responsible for maintaining the master schedule and plan for the Organization Effectiveness Team. This role will be responsible for logistics and planning of all key University and Culture events.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as the main point of contact internally for scheduling Organization Effectiveness programs and initiatives
• Responsible for coordination of Organizational Effectiveness projects, program functions at all our locations
• Maintain product and services catalog to reflect the value proposition of the Organization Effectiveness team
• Engage effectively with stakeholders to build relationships across departments and locations
• Coordinate reviews with key customers to assess the impact of current offerings
• Manage stakeholder briefings to secure sponsorship and support of key initiatives
• Serve as liaison between HR Operations team and Lead First Program Managers to ensure each cohort’s schedule is maintained and executed properly
• Maintain Culture Integrator event calendar and oversee logistics for culture refresher training
• Support Culture Wins campaign and event calendar
• Support recruiting of new Organization Effectiveness staff

Basic Qualifications
• Excellent organizational and multitasking ability
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong teamwork skills

Desired skills
• Experience with learning and development lifecycle
• Experience working in a Talent Acquisition or HR function
• Advanced experience with MS Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint
• A strong commitment to top-level customer engagement and service
