Job Description
Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead responsible for the schedule and budgetary execution of operational objectives on one of the Sensor Integration and Test Center (SITC) teams. Assigns tasks and reviews work for completion and adequacy in meeting objectives. Provides employee input/feedback and supports required HR Reviews.

Manufacturing Engineer responsible for leading a Manufacturing Engineering team in the assembly, integration, and test of precision Electro-Optical assemblies and systems. Leads concurrent engineering efforts in the development of new product and all other phases of the respective program’s product life cycle.

Active involvement in daily operations to meet critical schedules or resolve complex problems. Manages >50 Make assemblies and interfaces with SITC technicians, engineering, customers, and management to lead a M.E. team in the resolution of complex technical issues.

Responsible for leading the accurate translation of engineering drawings and requirements into effective Work Instructions and execution of production and GFE tooling and equipment on the respective team.

Leads the team in Engineering Change incorporation approach, Process Improvement, and Teaming initiatives.

Basic Qualifications
Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles in the disciplines of Electro-Optical, and Mechanical Engineering fields of study.

-Experience in leading manufacturing and technical teams in effectively identifying and executing solutions to technical problems.

- Technical expertise in Work Instruction development, Customer interface, and product troubleshooting.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.

-Must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Desired skills
- Understanding and wide application of complex Electro-Optical Final Assembly, Integration and Test methods.

- Experience in representing Operations teams for a wide range of difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.

- Hands on experience in the design of manufacturing processes, Work Instructions, equipment installation, machining and material handling.

- Experience in effective team leadership in planning and execution of Process Improvements and technical solutions.

- Execution of Capital and First Unit Flow planning; Make-Buy analysis.

- Experience in Manufacturing & Test Statement of Work and generation of Proposal Basis of Estimate input.

- Team leadership in the root cause evaluation and identification of corrective action solutions.

- Highly skilled at interpretation of Engineering specifications and the translation into effective Work Instructions.

- Effective communicator and team-builder across multiple levels of management and functional teams.

- Experience in effective collaboration with engineering to develop assembly design concepts and specification requirements.

- Excellent Team facilitation skills and effective use of Lean Six-Sigma tools.

- SAP Experience.
