Come work with multidisciplinary engineers focused on delivering world class Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE). You will be responsible for the design solutions that support the Organization. As an Engineer, you will work with a diverse work force responsible for the development, design, fabrication, test, and delivery of MGSE. Job responsibilities include:
- Independently develop mechanical design solutions of varying complexity using solid models, detailed drawings, and release of engineering work products.
- Review requirements from various sources (stress, dynamics, systems, thermal, manufacturing, etc.) to ensure that applicable requirements are flowed into the detailed design of assigned products.
- Collaborate with program leadership, domain experts, peers, configuration management, and manufacturing to ensure program requirements and schedules are met.
- Contribute to the completion of Program achievements by the release of accurate, error-free, affordable and producible engineering designs.
- Supports production meetings and manufacturing and test anomaly / discrepancy resolution
- Provides weekly / monthly status and regularly present to peers / leadership.
The ideal candidate will have good communications skills (both oral and written), able to mentor and develop subordinates, and have a strong background in design of Mechanical Ground Support Equipment. Additionally, the ability to develop strong stress analysis packages using FEA Software packages and classical hand calculations is highly desired.

Basic Qualifications
Qualified candidate will have or be able to:

- Position requires special access to multiple programs requiring the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
- Demonstrated capabilities in design of any mechanical systems such as any of Large Structure Steel, work platforms, lifting structures, machine design mechanisms, ECS/HVAC systems, or fluid systems.
- Provide Mechanical design with drawing development and supporting documentation
- Show proficient capabilities with engineering design CAD tools (Creo, Solidworks, etc.) and model-based product definition
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5.
- Experience working with teams on cross-level projects/multidisciplinary product development teams.
- Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong internal customer relationships.
- Candidate must have the ability to work in an environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules.
- Candidate must have strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills, and have the ability to interact effectively and build effective relationships with customers.

Desired skills
Desirable candidate will have or be able to:

- ECS/HVAC Design Experience
- NASTRAN NX stress analysis experience
- Capture Management/Proposal experience.
- Demonstrated project leadership skills and the ability to lead and drive change.
- Working knowledge of industry standards and federal regulations including ANSI, OSHA, and AWS standards applicable to mechanical and structural systems..
- Working Knowledge of EPDM.
