Job Description
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Sr. Mfg. Engineer/CNC Programmer to support the Machining Operations Center (MOC) located within the Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) facility located in Orlando, FL. MOC produces ultra-precision machined components that are the foundation of infrared and electro-optical targeting systems used primarily for defense applications. The parts supplied by this center support sales in excess of $1B annually.

Job Performance Profile:

•Create and revise Numerical Control (NC) program packages for multi-axis machining centers, lathes, and mill-turns. Program packages consist of CNC programs, cutter selection/tool lists, setup documentation, work instructions, manufacturing sketches, and other related items.
•Actively participate with “prove-in” of new and revise NC programs to ensure quality and cost conformance.
•Provide shopfloor support to resolve on-going technical and/or producibility issues.
•Investigate and perform Root Cause analysis of component non-conformances and ensure implementation of effective Corrective Action.
•May require working off-shift or weekends to support production schedules during the aforementioned activities.
•Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
•Significant experience utilizing major CAD/CAM systems (Creo, NX, Catia, etc.)
•Thorough ability to interpret engineering drawings with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
•Advanced knowledge of feeds and speeds for machining.
•Good interpersonal and communication skills.
•B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technology and (5) yrs relative experience, or equivalent experience/combined education with (9) years experience manufacturing complex DoD/Aerospace machined components.
