This role is for an experienced Security and systems administrator supporting the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) at Misawa, Japan.

The Security Administrator is responsible for providing the overall on-site maintenance and support of the system. The Security Administrator maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with system and network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, and monitoring and reviewing security audit logs. The Security Administrator uses a series of auditing tools (Splunk and associated reports) and manual processes to ensure that auditing occurs to guarantee compliance with the accredited systems monitoring:
• Audit Account Logon Events
• Audit Account Management
• Audit directory service access
• Audit logon events
• Audit object access
• Audit policy change
• Audit privileged use
• Audit process tracking
• Audit system events

Additional Security Administrator responsibilities will include:
• ALIS Account creations across multiple applications
• Role definitions/modifications and password resets
• COMSEC account duties may be necessary
• Security patching (IAVAs, IAVBs, IAVMs, antivirus signatures)
• Log file rotations/sizing issues and audit management, Security audits (IAO, IAMs, etc)
• Upgrade applications for Time Compliant Technical Directives (TCTDs)
• Troubleshooting COTS and custom applications
• Providing customer service and technical assistance to users on operation, use, and maintenance of workstations and network equipment
• Provide tiered troubleshooting of IT systems and network equipment
• Support system/network expansion/migration and related IT projects
• Providing technical and administrative training and supervision to teammates and clients
This is an operational support role to an active fighter unit, so the selected candidate may be required to work at deployed CONUS/OCONUS locations, support rotating shifts, and work over 40 hours per week—which may include weekends—as dictated by mission requirements and operational needs.

Deployment and continued employment is contingent upon successful receipt of Program Special Access clearances AND, if required, completion of the OJT required at Lockheed Martin’s training locations prior to international assignment. Training will occur primarily at Luke AFB in Glendale, AZ. Other locations may include but are not limited to: Nellis AFB, NV, Hill AFB, UT; Eglin AFB, FL; Edwards AFB, CA; Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Yuma, AZ; Beaufort, SC.

Note: This is not a telecommuting position.

Basic Qualifications
Candidates must hold an active, transferable DoD Secret clearance with a background investigation closure date within the last 6 years and be able to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access. Must be DoD IAT Level II Certified (Security+ or better).

The successful candidate will have:

• Systems and software engineering and/or system administration process background.
• Systems administration experience with servers and network appliances.
• Good communication & verbal skills.
• Self-starter and the ability to multitask.
• A willingness to work varied shifts and flexible schedules to meet customer mission requirements.
• A willingness and ability to travel for military deployments/detachments (ship and/or shore) for extended periods dependent upon operational needs.
Candidates must be willing to support a 2 year in-country commitment from the date of expatriation.

Desired skills
In addition to the basic requirements above, the successful candidate may have one or more of the following:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to create presentation material for Base Leadership (e.g. Officers and management).
• Current Security+, CASP, or CEH Security certification.
• Certifications in the following Environments: Unix, Windows Server, Information Security.
• Ability to provide systems administration and technology management support
• Development of Standard Operating Instruction and other training skills and training material development experience.
• Experience working in military environment.
• Ability to be flexible in working with dynamic mission requirements.
• Disaster recovery/restores.
• Software maintenance – applying OS updates, antivirus/antispyware updates, security patches.
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and processes, to include the JSF ALIS software and hardware.
• Experience and knowledge of Japanese language and culture would be a plus.
