Licensed Counselor LCSW SA Outpatient Manatee County
Provides clinical services to include individual and group therapy to clients dealing with complex substance abuse concerns as well as to clients dealing with mental illness concerns in substance abuse outpatient setting . Assessment, diagnosis, information and referral and case management also provided. Collaboration with team members as well as collateral contacts in the community. Participates in program planning, case consultation and staffing. Initiates and coordinates case supervision/treatment planning activities. Perform assessments for possible Baker Acts, when needed..
Minimum Qualifications: Licensed Clinical Social Worker per Florida Department of Professional Regulation as per chapter 490 or 491 F.S. Two (2) years' professional experience in a mental health/substance abuse setting. General understanding of case management and referral duties.
Preferred Qualification: Crisis Intervention experience preferred.
Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Highly skilled in substance abuse and mental health therapy. Bi-lingual a plus.
Perform assessments for possible Baker Acts, when needed.
Essential Functions/Job Duties:
Develop therapeutic rapport with clients - Meet with clients as scheduled to aid in development of therapeutic relationships.
Diagnostic Assessment - Formulate a provisional diagnostic assessment based on information presented, identify need for risk assessment.
Concurrent Documentation - Completes documentation within 24 hours.
Provide individual, family and group therapy to individuals for mental health and/or substance abuse disorders.
Screenings - Complete screenings for depression, suicide, drug use, home assessment, etc.
Treatment Planning - Developing, writing, implementing, evaluating and revising overall treatment goals/objectives and plans per ongoing assessment of needs and input from the individual using individual strengths.
Therapeutic Interventions - Use of empirically based modalities to engage and manage their mental health or substance abuse diagnosis.
Referrals - Complete, document and follow up on referrals, including collateral contacts.
Discharge/close referrals - Discharge clients who successfully complete therapy services and those who fail to follow through.
Other Related Duties - Peer Reviews, consultation, attend staffings, work with community partners, state reporting, follow contract policies and processes, state reporting, etc.
Position Type, Expected Hours of Work and Travel: This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday - 8:30-5:00.
