The Communications Electronics Engineer is responsible for design, development, integration, and test of communications systems equipment for a
Support communication system analysis, design, engineering capture, build, and integration; includes requirements development and analysis and supporting trade studies
Perform review and analysis of supplier design data, definition of functional test requirements including acceptance, qualification, and system integration, and support test execution; includes Informal and formal testing of subsystem requirements in lab, troubleshooting hardware in the lab, supporting flight test activities and post flight data analysis, and resolution of flight test anomalies
Perform liaison duties to disseminate information to suppliers, responsible engineers (REs), leadership, and other Integrated Product Teams and external customers; includes Supplier technical management and responding to customer inquiries
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience OR a Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Interim Secret level security clearance prior to start
Knowledge of airborne CNI equipment including analog, digital and RF interfaces and associated test equipment including Spectrum Analyzer, Protocol Analyzer, LAN Analyzer, Network Analyzer, etc
Exposure to CNI related Military and Commercial Standards
Understanding of the concept of Interoperability of communications systems
Understanding of interfaces such as MIL-STD-1553, RS-232, RS, 422, RS-485, ARINC 429 etc
Understanding of RF communication system concepts, including link budgets, modulation, SATCOM
Exposure to System Tool Kit (STK) for RF link analysis and communication system analysis
