Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Manager,Contract Administration 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.
Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standardand nonstandard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation,contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for propercontract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legalrequirements, and customer specifications. Examines estimates of material,equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and deliveryschedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares bids; processesspecifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractualrights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historicalinformation.
Bachelors' degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting or other relevant field
Minimum of 8 years relevant contracts work experience.
Professional working knowledge and demonstrated proficient work experience with FAR/DFARS, TINA, and US Government / DoD customer expectations.
Work experience with U.S. Government Aircraft Production Contracts, international contracts and various government contract types (i.e. Fixed Price, Cost Type, IDIQ)
Experience with customer negotiations.
Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines, and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
Demonstrated strengths will include a highly collaborative work style, the ability to anticipate problems, success in resolving difficult situations and effectively communicate with all levels of stakeholders.
Demonstrated success in leading teams.
Strong communication and presentation skills as well as strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to obtain government security clearance
- Ability to travel at least 10% of the time.
MBA or other relevant advance degree
Prior experience managing a team of professionals
Current security clearance
International contracting experience
Ability to relay and receive information
Able to collaborate in a team environment
Ability to negotiate and integrate different viewpoints
Able to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result
Able to provide direction to determine priorities to achieve goal
Ability to make decisions that impact the organization's credibility, operations and services
Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions
Able to perform work in an approved environment during specified work hours
