Job Description

Heavy Equipment Operator Trainer


The operator trainer will manage all aspects of the equipment operator qualification and training program. This person will be responsible to evaluate, qualify and train each operator to reach the next level. Experienced in training equipment operators on equipment such as; dozer, loader, excavators, rollers, cranes and all construction equipment


Good oral and written communication skills


Good organizational and record keeping skills


Able to travel throughout Florida and southern Georgia during the work week


Computer skills should include Microsoft Word, Basic Microsoft Excel, and Basic Microsoft PowerPoint




Conducts training sessions for equipment operators, instructing them on the safe and proper operation of equipment and machine features and functions.


Prepares and takes charge of training and demonstrations from start to finish. Covers all maintenance points and required inspections with operators


Regular field visits to evaluate operators on production and safety


Manage all operator files and training




10 years in construction environment where operating skills were developed


Prior experience in the training, qualifying and auditing of equipment operators


Desired Qualifications:


Bilingual (Spanish)


Master NCCER trainer qualification


General knowledge of OSHA Workplace Safety programs including MSDS and PPE programs


Microsoft office suit knowledge and good computer skills
