Job Description
In this position, you will observe monitored customer facing Publix .com and mobile applications’ performance using a variety of real time application performance monitoring (APM) tools and proactively design and implement solutions, make enhancements, and improve performance, while using a core .NET skillset.
 
The ideal candidate will have:

 
  • Experience working with high volume 24/7 transactional based systems and be willing to participate in the teams support rotation.
  • Experience with application performance optimization including database query performance, CDN optimization, and cache design strategies.
  • Performance acceleration tools experience on Web and Mobile platforms
  • Strong skills in .NET, IIS, ASP.NET and C#
  • The ability to convert a stress test into development opportunity.

Potential Annual Pay with Bonus

Year End Bonus

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline or equivalent
• Minimum of five years’ experience with .NET, ASP.NET, C#, Web and application development
•Minimum of five years’ experience designing and developing applications in a large distributed environment
•Minimum of five years’ experience with relational databases
•Experience with Real User Monitoring (RUM) and/or Application Monitoring Tools (APM) tools
•Experience with application performance optimization including database query performance, CDN optimization, and cache design strategies.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with specific monitoring and/or performance tools like Dynatrace, Precise I3, Sitecores’ SOLR search functionality, Head Spin Mobile App Performance
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or 8+ years of equivalent experience
  • Five or more years’ experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Experience designing and developing websites running in a multi-platform distributed environment
  • SCRUM or other Agile development methodology.
