The I.S. Project Manager is responsible for leading multiplehealthcare IT projects (and/or multiple subprojects of a program) of varioussizes and complexity. To be successful, the individual in this role needs todemonstrate advanced project management skills ensuring project scope isaligned with the business objectives, customer expectations are established andmanaged, issues and changes are controlled and escalated as needed. The I.S.Project Manager will establish project budget, monitors and approvesexpenditures, and work with software vendors (Cerner and others), to ensurethat projects will be completed on time and within budget. The I.S. ProjectManager will develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders toobtain project objectives, as well as mentor and train individuals within theorganization on established processes, templates, and methodology to drive thedelivery of “repeatable" consistent results.
Workcollaboratively with project stakeholders to develop a comprehensive projectplan including: Scope, Schedule, Budget, Communications, Staffing, Risk andIssue Management, Test, and Change Management.
Create/ build / update project schedules, project definition documents, projectplans, status reports, and work breakdown structures.
Perform ProjectScope Management
Effectivelymanage project work within the stated scope.
Createand execute project work plans in accordance with the Project DefinitionDocument and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.Manage projects through the lifecycle stages. Constantly monitor and report onprogress of the project to all stakeholders as needed. Meet with customers andinternal stake holders to effectively communicate project expectations in atimely and clear manner. Successfullydeliver projects on time, on budget and within project scope. Assist in drivingproject management governance, methods, methodologies, and tool acceptance.
Perform Issue& Risk Management
CreateRAIDC logs (Risk, Action, Issue, Decision, Changes). Efficiently identify andsolve project issues as they arise.
Create/ implement project organization and communication plans which enable theproject team to effectively work together to meet project objectives.Communicate accurate, timely status information to the PMO and stakeholders.
Preparemeeting agendas and meeting minutes, schedule and lead regularly recurringstatus meetings, distribute meeting documentation, and maintain and monitoraction item listings as necessary. Facilitate and lead meetings and steeringcommittee meetings by being well-prepared and adhering to topics.
Createand manage project Change Requests and implement approved requests to achieveproject deliverables.
