Our escrow operations are required to charge actual recording fees (including transfer taxes and service fess). The Recording Fee Reconciliation department’s mission provide escrow with improved processes and technology to ensure losses are identified and funded timely and overages are refunded appropriately to customers.

This position would assist in rolling out new processes to operations. After conversion, the individual would ensure the operation is adhering to the new process.


  • Implement new processes in escrow operations resulting in improved efficiency.

  • Understand and document the operations’ specific processes and county regulations.

  • Identify changes to operation processes by leveraging new processes and technology to add additional value.

  • Perform and train operation specific procedures. This includes generating and reviewing reports in Excel and escrow systems and instructing operations on processes.

  • Work with and oversee trainers and configuration specialists during conversion/implementation.

  • Train off shore India resources on report generating and procedures.

  • Communicate and train department initiatives throughout the Company, including but not limited to nationwide direct escrow operations, escrow administration, audit, and compliance.

  • Communicate with recording vendors as corporate contact.

  • Open, perform maintenance and track recording vendor accounts, working with internal groups and operations for set up.

  • Investigate and analyze operation financial statements and financial data.


  • General understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

  • Knowledge of closing processes

  • Ability to work independently and assess priorities for projects assigned by supervisor while being able to multi-task projects

  • Ability to travel and have flexible for work hours

  • Able to effectively correspond and work with others, including the title and escrow officers, compliance officers, escrow administration, accounting and upper management.

  • Ability to confidently communicate and recommend best practices and company policy improvements.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, mastery of Excel a plus.

  • Ability to understand financial statements


  • High School Diploma or Associates Degree

  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting work experience or escrow experience
